The legislation of Ukraine in the field of atmospheric protection provides for the implementation of a complex system of legal measures that should ensure the protection of atmospheric air from pollution. The Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Atmospheric Air” is the legal foundation of activities aimed at preventing the harmful effects of atmospheric air on the environment and human health, ensuring environmental safety, and creating favorable conditions for life.

- development of measures to achieve the established norms of maximum permissible emissions;

- assessment of the level of atmospheric air pollution in the surface layer of the atmosphere according to the “EOL-2000” program;
- justification of the size of the sanitary protection zone;

Obtaining permits for emissions of polluting substances into the atmospheric air from stationary sources of emissions is regulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Atmospheric Air Protection”, Resolution of the CMU dated 03.13.02 No. 302 and Order of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Ukraine dated 02.10.95 No. 7 and dated 03.09.06 No. 108
